Summary of Episode:

Jenn speaks to classical trained Taiwanese flutist Jenni Tsai. Born and raised in Taiwan, Jenni began her musical journey at a young age having been a childhood prodigy with her chosen instrument early on to discovering improv and jazz to navigating the professional musician career path. She shares her upbringing in Taiwan, the obstacles musicians face, balancing motherhood, mother daughter relationships and fighting racial stereotypes within the family.

I am a classically trained musician…the most gigs I get is irrelevant to classical music…when I was in school I always thought I was a flutist, but once I entered society, I realized flute is my tool I want to use this tool to express different kind of music.
