Curito is grateful to be hosting an event with tea master, Elaine Hsieh of Jhaosi Tea on Sunday, October 2, 2022 for a morning of Taiwanese wild tea tasting and buddhist philosophy teachings. As the weather starts to cool in autumn, and calm our body、soul and mind, it welcomes the flow of philosophical thoughts. Preparing for the ceremony and some wild harvested tea, you will be enlightened to direct yourself on mind、emotion and will into connecting into inner world, which is Kant‘s so called ontology「it is」. Eventually, bringing you to “feel the tea” directly.

Think another modality in finding your zen in the world we live in today! A special opportunity not to be missed! Held at the beautiful tea house at 人來風

哲學家的茶桌透過茶桌上的多樣元素,以野生茶品為基調,透過品茶來淨化身心, 舒展理性、情緒、意志,返回到內心的連結,也就是康德所稱的「本體」,以直觀的方式來感受這一杯茶。

About Elaine Hsieh

Elaine Hsieh tea master and founder of Jhaosi Tea (Jiao Xi Tea). Born and raised in Taiwan,Elaine grew up surrounded by her father’s love for Pu’er te, not knowing that she would eventually walk this path. A graduate with a degree in drama and having spent her early career working in the alcohol industry selling wine and brown spirits, Elaine found herself switching over to tea, the beverage that inspires everything. Diving into philosophy ,she discovers how the history and art of tea making and drinking is equivalent to understanding the meaning of life.

父親身為台北知名的普洱茶收藏家,見證了三十年的茶歷史,從野生森林中的野茶樹、至百萬等級名茶,對茶的品質有高要求。 綜合多年品飲經驗,朝茶夕酒工作室以活潑、幽默且哲學性的視野,介紹茶的背景與文化。相較於一般茶教室重視「儀式」,朝茶夕酒更重視如何讓「茶自身」表現最完美的一面。如同西方的一杯美酒,茶不僅僅是一杯飲品,更結合了茶園的風土環境、茶人的製茶美學、與泡茶人當下的心境。完整認識了一杯茶,也等於認識了生命的歷程,泡好一杯茶,也更能發揮自身的內在淺能。
