Summary of Episode:

Jenn speaks to Dublin-based James McGann, co-founder of Frankie Health. Frankie Health is a startup that supports therapists and companies alike in addressing mental health issues and provides therapists and employers a way to address individuals' mental health needs. James shares his own mental struggles, discovering meditation, looking back at how his experiences connected the dots to creating Frankie Health. We talk about why providing mental health care for the modern workforce is so vital in today's society especially with the pandemic, lockdowns, and remote work. Why giving certified therapists a platform to practice their areas of specialty and reach more individuals who need help is essential. That everyone has different mental health experiences, it is a very personal journey and it is not a one shoe fits all solution, there are tools out there and you are not alone!

It's never too early to invest in your team's mental health. I think in current covid times, with various lockdown, and also having to navigate and accept remote working, it almost is becoming more important.

About James McGann:

James loves working for a purpose that he believes in. James ran the commercial side of three different start-ups in California, Europe and Hong Kong before co-founding Frankie. Along that journey, James found a personal passion for meditation and saw that improving mental health would be the why that drives him.
