What started off as an idea during Joan’s 200TT in Goa back in 2020 turned into reality when Jenn, Joan and Katy discussed how to carefully design these 62 asana cards to include the techniques Joan uses to teach her students in her teacher training courses. Hours of emails, edits, time zone differences and labor of love went into creating these cards. We hope you will find them useful in beginning or enhancing your yoga practice. These are great for beginners and advanced practitioners to better understand alignment, cues, benefits, counter and prep postures for each asana poses. Whether you are a yoga teacher or a student these yoga cards will surely be a great accessory on your mat and gifts for friends!
How to Use:
There are numerous ways you can utilize these asana cards. The cards are designed in a way for you to understand each asana, its Sanskrit and English name, which chakra it is associated with, the benefits of the pose, cues to get into the asana and the counter poses for each. Understanding alignment in the postures, which the cards will help you with, will increase your awareness on how to sequence postures together gaining benefits that lead to a heightened feel in the physical and energetic body. Feel free to refer to them independently or place them together to create your own sequencing flow!
